Faster Recovery and Lasting Results

Unlike dermal rolling there is no dragging or micro tears made to the skin, this reduces the chance of bleeding and excess redness after the procedure. Aquagold's needles are administered perpendicular to the skin, therefore it's a more gentle treatment that is better at delivering ingredients into the dermis, stimulating cellular renewal in the upper layer of the skin.

The AquaTouch Difference

Aquagold Fine Touch can deliver many injections at once in a very efficient and painless manner with 20 gold plated needles- each finer than a human hair.

Unlike microneedling, ingredients are delivered directly into the dermis via screw thread needle technology, before the micro injuries begin to close, making it a very effective delivery system.

It also allows for alternative uses of injectables such as Botox and fillers to achieve whole-face rejuvenation. This feature of Aquagold has many advantages and can be used on all skin types. It can decrease oil production, improve acne and enlarged pores, it can improve ageing skin with fine lines and wrinkles, it can treat close to the eye area successfully and comfortably, it can cover large treatment areas for an over all skin tightening, rejuvenation and plumping effect (It will have no effect on the muscle).

Who Is a Candidate for Microneedling?

Microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones because the treatment does not damage the epidermis. The best candidates are anyone who:

  • Has not used isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past three months

  • Doesn’t have any open wounds, abrasions or cuts in the area to be treated

  • Has not had radiation skin treatment within the past 12 months

  • Not suffering from an active skin infection or herpes simplex at the treatment site or other skin condition. Patients should not have a history of hypertrophic, keloid scars or poor wound healing

Microneeding FAQ

Microneedling uses a pen shaped device which allows multiple extremely fine needles to make very minuscule evenly-spaced punctures into the skin. The needles move up and down as the pen is moved across the treatment areas.  It is called a fractional treatment in which only a fraction of the surface of the skin is affected, leaving normal skin surrounding each micro-wound untouched.

This allows the body to work on healing the so-called “wounds” and responds by increasing the collagen and elastin production thereby improving the skin.  Its principal use has been for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly those surrounding the mouth and crows feet and thin scars on the face, such as acne scarring.  It is also used for some pigmentation disorders such as melasma and age spots as well as for stretch marks.

What is Microneedling?

More About Microneedling

What is the normal recovery time after treatment?

Downtime is minimal and usually 24 hours is enough time to heal from treatment, however, it may take up to 2-3 days depending on the extent of the treatment and your skin’s reaction.  You can usually return to work or activities (non-physical exercise) immediately after the treatment and wear makeup 24 hours later if necessary. In the first stage of healing, sometimes redness, dryness, breakouts and skin flaking appear but subside rather quickly.

What do I need to do after treatment?

After treatment, avoid any skin care product with acidic active ingredients, retinol, or AHAs (glycolic acid). Avoid these products for two to three days. Be sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor of at least 35 to avoid sun damage. For the first 72 hours after treatment, reapply sunscreen every four to six hours. Clothing does not offer adequate protection from the sun.

How many treatments do I need?

Most people need a series of treatments, typically at least 2-3, but potentially as many as 6 usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Microneedling won’t likely produce dramatic results, but mild to moderate improvements. Each session will continuously build upon the other and results slowly start to show itself.  Benefits can last up to 12 months and when used synergistically along with other treatments such as , chemical peels, fillers, or serums & peptides, the results can be positively augmented.
